17/8 Interview Highlights✨

Julian Garcia is from the Philippines 🇵🇭, who is currently an undergraduate studying music education with percussion principle. She had been a member of the Percussion ensemble for 7 years from grade school to high school and is now a member of the Percussive Arts Society Philippine Chapter. Here are some highlights of that day for you in case you missed it.

1. Julian is currently playing the snare drum and is practicing in her bedroom. She decides to pursue a music degree because she wants to do music as her future career.

2. Her goal in music is to perform in a group as a percussionist.

3. She thinks that percussion is not popular in the Philippines which does not get a lot of acknowledgment.

4. Her experience of playing in an ensemble was meaningful and she got to feel less nervous. She learnt about African instruments in the Percussion Seminar.
